NDIS registered and Quality Accredited, Mulleraterong provides modern, well equipped facilities offering bright naturally lit, spacious program rooms, a sensory room, a hydrotherapy pool and beautiful garden areas with a trampoline and easy access swing. The 37 staff members are qualified, dedicated disability professionals.
Mulleraterong Centre offers a person centred approach in the provision of 60 plus programs and activities for adults with disabilities. The Mulleraterong Community Inclusion Service has arranged more than 50 work (with wages), work experience and volunteer placements since it’s inception in 2006.
In addition to Centre and community based programs, there is a fully operational wood working workshop and a dedicated independent living house.
Mulleraterong also provides 1:1 Outreach support that can be a tailored, flexible combination of services provided in the home or community and holiday support.
Mulleraterong integrates programs and activities into the community in a variety of ways including attending courses at SGAE, volunteering for Meals on Wheels and regularly using community facilities including HILAC, Hamilton PAC and Public Library. Participants visit the elderly at Mackey House in Coleraine regularly, play bowls at the Hamilton Bowling Club, join in with the Hamilton Boot Scooters line dancing weekly and also visit over 30 local businesses as part of our recycling program.
