Miriam O’Brien is presenting an evening workshop on governance. This seminar is designed for Board members and senior executives, particularly people from not‐for‐profit organisations. The program is designed to help people consider what differentiates a high performing board from others. It provides the opportunity to reflect on the purpose of the Board and how the Board can really make a difference (as opposed to being a barrier to success).
Miriam O’Brien provides management consulting services to business, government, industry organisations and professional associations. She has extensive experience working in and consulting to a wide range of organisations and is aware of the range of environments in which businesses of different types operate. Miriam understands the issues that are important to board members and executives.
Join Miriam for a thought provoking, insightful and ‘big picture’ strategic workshop. This seminar will provide learnings and understandings about monitoring organisational performance, reporting provided to boards and developing dashboard indicators.
The session will include PowerPoint presentations as well as discussions. It will provide the opportunity to interact with Board members and senior management from different organisations, allowing participants to consider different approaches to planning, complex board issues and decision making.
As a bonus, Miriam will provide a short form of her Board Charter (guidelines for Boards and Directors), which she has tailored for not‐for‐profit organisations in Australia, for use within participants’ own organisation.
